I will probably develop a few more actions for this character and hopefully I can find someone who will make a game with me. Flash or... ya know... XBLA Castle Crashers shit (I freaking wish).

On the run animation, are the feet overlapping? or are they looping up and down, not really moving forward. I'm intrigued

His legs do overlap, but since his legs are solid black and have no lines, I just repeated the animation because I'm lazy.

I might actually be interested in teaming up with an artist to put out something. Let me know if you still want to do something.

How'd things go with this anyway, end up having it made into a game?

We got a build that has movement, physics, and multiple weapons but no enemies or anything. I kept sending stuff over to the developer guy, but the responses kinda stopped coming and I think he lost interest. I should probably email him..

Whoa nice, didnt realize you had a decent understanding with flash. Sprites look awesome to the running one is very fluid.

Thanks man. I messed with it a long time ago and got the basics of symbols and animation down.

That animation is awesome. It's really good looking and the character is really cool too. Just wondering but what program do you use to make your characters? If I had to guess you probably use Illustrator but i could be wrong.

I used Flash :la:

That would have been my second guess because it looked like it may have been drawn in flash and obviously it was animated in flash but I just didn't know if it had been drawn in there too. You did a really good job on it. just saying. :typerhappy:

I am ready to do platformer if you wish. I even have the code ready to do any kind and quickly.
Can't do Castle Crasher style at the moment. But I think I'll try preparing it one day.

Would you be able to work with AS3?

As for the library I have, it is made in AS2. I am yet to create one in AS3.
If there are specific features you require in AS3, I can wrap the AS2 game in an AS3 container to use specific features. I can use *WhirledWhirled to do that in an easier way.

I can't offer making the whole game in AS3 as I haven't made ready tools for that, yet. I know it is a bad idea to keep you waiting and then I get busy or something and get prevented from continuing smoothly. I've already went through that bad experience once, sadly.

Well, I'm currently in a flash class and the instructor is allowing me to work with these animations instead of the project he had already assigned. Since he wants us to work in AS3 I guess I'll have to teach myself that. However, he is mostly grading me on the animations and not so much the code (which I know next to nothing about anyway). So if that doesn't work out, I can always message you later and see if you'd still be interested.

I am experienced in AS3 as well. I am open to simple questions if you need.

I won't do much code anyway if I use the lib.

Awesome spritework - really smooth and professional in nature. I say, reach for the stars - it's likely that the Castle Crashers guys started off in a similar position to yourself!

I'm sure there's someone out there who'd be willing to team up with a talented artist like yourself... i can't really offer any information on places to start, though. Good luck! :D
